The main difference between the Pro Performance Module and most electronic diesel performance products is the manipulation of fuel pressure vs fuel volume. Most chips/programmers change injector pulse width which adds for fuel to the engine... the Module changes fuel pressure which enhances the injector plume and increases the fuel atomization.
Excessive injector pulse width modification adds to much fuel volume and can cause the engine to run rich (smoke/heat)... whereas pressure/plume modification causes the engine to run more efficient due to improved fuel atomization. Pressure modification does add slightly more fuel under throttle but the additional combustion performance offsets any negatives.
The Number One reason customers install the Performance Module is for fuel savings but having up to an additional 90 horsepower (140 ft/lbs torque) makes for a more responsive truck when towing heavy loads. My truck has already has plenty of power, how do I get better fuel mileage?
Answer:
Today's diesel pickups do have more power then ever... but the peak of that power is measured over 3000 RPM. The problem is emissions tuning robs power in your "Driving Zone" of 1400-2000 RPM which adds to your truck getting less than optimal fuel mileage. A simple way to squeeze out another 15-20% more mileage is to "restore" this lost power in the "driving zone"

What is the difference between your Module and others on the market?
Answer:
These are the ONLY modules on the market engineered strictly for Daily Driver diesels ... not hot rod diesels ! We sell the "ORIGINAL" Dr Performance module.We have worked with Doc Sadler of Dr Performance since 2003 when he first launched these modules. Doc Sadler is the innovator and not the imitator. What will this Module do for me?
Answer:

What actually is this Module?
Answer:
The Module is a stand-alone software controled microprosessor computer that intercepts a signal coming from your truck's ecm to the fuel rail sensor and alters it to change the power curve of the engine via the fuel rail.
Question:
What is the Module doing to get better milelage?
Answer:
By changing the signal to the fuel rail the Module causes an increase in the rail pressure at the "normal driving RPM range". This increase is well within the stock parameters of the engine and does not cause additional wear on the system components. Basically the Module takes the rail pressure you would be getting at around 2400 RPM and slides it down to the RPM where you spend 90% of your driving. (1400-20000)
Question:
Will removing my emissions equipment help increase my fuel mileage?
Answer:
No. The biggest issue to your current mileage is your truck has been detuned below 2200 RPM for emissions. Removing the emissions equipment does not solve this issue... restoring the power that has been taking away below 2200 RPM will help get that 15-20% increase.Not only will removing emissions equipment void warranty... your truck needs a certain amount of back pressure for mileage. Will the Module void my warranty?
Answer:
My disclaimer to that question is you the truck owner are responissble for knowing what is written in your truck's warranty manual concerning aftermarket parts.That said... we call the Module "warranty friendly" because the Module is a stand alone product that does not make changes to your trucks factory computer and does not leave a finger print like tuning via the OBD2 port does. There is never a 100% guarantee what shenanigans the manufacturer may play, we just know its extremely difficult to detect once you remove it.

Where does the Module install?
Answer:
The Module installs under the hood by plugging "in series" into the factory wire-harness with factory stye plugs. The instructions provided show you where the rail sensor is located (with photos) and once you locate it you squeeze the latch on the plug and remove it and plug the Module back into the sensor. The factory plug then attaches to the female plug of the module.Once the connectors are clicked together you then secure the Module near the firewall close to the drivers side fender. Its that simple.
Question:
How does the Switch work and do I need to install it in the cab of the truck?
Answer:
The Switch allows you to select between Stock, 30, 60, and 90 horsepower.The majority of our customers leave the Switch under the hood secured with the Module. The cable is long enough to mount it in the cab of the truck but if you need to remove the Module for any reason its just as easy to leave the Switch mounted beside the Module under the hood.
Question:
What Switch setting is best for mileage increase and also towing?
Answer:
Most Customers start with the 60 horsepower and then test the 90. The feed back we get is 50/50 as to which of the two setting works best.We recommend 30 or 60 for towing if you are in mountains. If you are towing on flatter ground then you can safely use any setting if you drive your truck properly.
