Well Steve, you were right!!! First
of all, I never write these testimonials much if at all, but I have to
in this case as I want to assure potential customers that your products
are what they claim to be.
I
have a 2009 Chevy Silverado Diesel Dually that I installed the Race
Kit:EZTuner with complete 4 inch exhaust. A pretty big investment for
something that may or may not work, right. Well, let me tell you. I
have had it on my truck for 10 months now and here are the results.
I
only have the tuner on level 1 because if you turn it higher you will
get whip lash pulling out. I tow trailers and I don’t want my employees
twisting off the drive train at the gate.
The
exhaust is not noisy like you would expect. It does make some strange
noises that sound like something between a jet engine and a vacuum
cleaner! It does make people look at what is making that noise. Installation
is a bit tricky as you have to customize it a bit to make all the parts
fit. You will need a torch to make it fit so I would have someone help
with the install. Also, I have had no problem getting the truck state
inspected, which I was worried about. I assure you it is not loud.
Anyway,
the best mileage I could get prior to install was tops 16.1 mpg at
between 1800 and 2000 rpm. Now I commonly get a whopping 21.2 at the
same rpm. Driving around my small lower 40 farm gets me about 18 mpg
and the larger farm on the upper 48 gets me as high as 22 mpg.
This
product works and I have saved a ton of fuel cost not to mention
performance. I have put 30,000 miles on the truck since without any
issues at all.
That being said,
the reason I am here at the site today is to get the system for another
truck I purchased which is a 2010 Chevy Silverado, (the same as the
2009) which can only get 12 miles to the gallon right now. The engine
in this truck is prior to Chevy putting in that cat piss injector system
to save the earth. It will be interesting to see how long that lasts!
It seems like we were supposed to be canalizing ourselves by now.
I
have already saved the cost of the kit in fuel mileage and now it is
just a good investment. This truck gets better mileage than a lot of
little cars out there!! Talk about saving greenhouse gasses!
